Louis Centioni has dropped this soulful, jazz inflected tune full of hard-hitting harmonies and fuzzy synths with inspiration coming from his own experiences, his Italian grandfather’s record collection, and Netflix’s Stranger Things. ‘Here I Go Again’ opens with Centioni’s voice alone with an electric piano, before distant drums join and the piece eventually fills out with backing vocals and twisting, inventive melody lines. The singer-songwriter “wanted to draw on being in a long-term relationship and how two people can drift onto an off road course and gradually end up in a bleak state of unhappiness, capturing a timeless and aesthetic feel with the lyrics”. -Dan Peeke
